This has lovely layers of boysenberry, fig and raspberry fruit, laced with sweet tobacco and backed by a long mineral edge on the finish. The toast is modest and well-integrated and the mouthfeel is lush, with a light, loamy edge. Drink now through 2022. 1,625 cases made.

The 2012 La Serre offers lovely depth in a classic, understated style. Sweet spice, tobacco, dark berry, cherry pit leather and cedar flesh out in the glass. Ample, layered and expressive, the 2012 should continue to drink well for another 7-10 years. The 2012 is not especially complex, but it is a pretty Saint-Emilion to enjoy for its forward, inviting personality.

Barrel sample. With an attractive wood character and ripe black fruits, this is a perfumed wine that's warm, ripe, juicy and fruity.

This is a soft, round, up-front style of St.-Emilion with a deep ruby/purple color. The wine is medium-bodied, pleasant, elegant, not terribly concentrated, but juicy and consumer-friendly. Drink it over the next 7-8 years.
