90-92. Barrel Sample. A lightly structured wine, this has plenty of the intense freshness of the vintage. Its tannin core melds with the pure black currant flavors to give a wine that will develop well over the medium-term.

The 2019 Peyrabon is tightly wound and quite floral on the nose of wilted rose petals, red berry fruit and unfurling light woodland scents. The palate is medium-bodied with light but quite pliant tannins that frame the soy-tinged red fruit, leading to a peppery finish. Thoroughly enjoyable.
