Here's a finely meshed rosé that's fresh and fragrant, with a hint of spring forest, while subtle flavors of dried white cherry, salted almond, whole-grain toast and orange zest are framed by mouthwatering acidity. Disgorged May 2012. Drink now through 2018. 30 cases imported.

The pale pink colored NV Brut Rosé Grand Cru (LR2012) is a round, fresh and fruity fizz based on 90% Côte de Blancs Chardonnay and 10% Ambonnay Pinot Noir red wine, all Grand Cru. Red and black currant aromas along with blueberry and ripe blackberry flavors on the nose lead to a full flavored, elegant and charming palate. It has a long, intense and well-structured finish. This is an in the sunshine wine that can also be served with food. It has a lot of Pinot character.

The 10% Pinot Noir in this otherwise Chardonnay-dominant blend adds an attractive, light pink color. It is crisp and fragrant. Pinot Noir's tannins barely show, while Chardonnay's apple-driven acidity comes through strongly.
