This blend of 74% Zinfandel, 16% Petite Sirah, 8% Tempranillo and 2% Alicante Bouschet is driven by a cigar-box aroma on the nose, with thyme, peppercorn, dark plum and strawberry in the background. It's tightly wound on the palate, with bright acidity that rises into the finish of black currant and clove.

Opaque ruby. Ripe, smoked-accented dark fruit and licorice aromas pick up subtle tobacco and cola nuances with air. Broad and chewy in the mouth, offering bitter cherry and blueberry flavors that open up and take a jammy turn with air. Closes warm and spicy, with youthfully gripping tannins and good length.
