Ruby-garnet red in color, it has an enveloping aroma with notes of licorice, red berries, and hints of violet. The taste has a persistent flavor and an elegant sensation of fullness enhanced by soft tannins that harmonize in its vibrant structure.
It accompanies meat dishes, game, as well as tasty cheeses. It should be served in large glasses, taking care of good oxygenation.

The 2017 Ghemme Collis Breclemae handled the rigors of the year better than some of the other wines in the range. It offers up copious black cherry, plum, leather, licorice and scorched earth. This burly Ghemme packs plenty of punch. It's not the most refined wine I have tasted here, but it offers a good bit of energy in its deeper, richer dark fruit profile.
