Composed of 53% Grenache, 17% Syrah, 13% Mourvèdre, 16% Petite Sirah and 1% Viognier, the deep garnet-purple colored 2015 Cuvee Alis Estate Vineyard has quite a broody nose of coffee grounds, tilled soil and truffles over a core of preserved plums, blackberry pie and chocolate box with a touch of incense. Full-bodied, rich and opulent in the mouth, it displays tons of exotic spice and berry preserves layers with fantastic freshness, finishing long and spicy.

The medium ruby-colored 2015 Cuvée Alis checks in as a blend of 53% Grenache, 17% Syrah, 16% Petite Sirah, 13% Mourvèdre, and 1% Viognier. Blackberries, baked cherries, earth and graphite aromas, medium body, ripe tannin, and solid length all make for a charming, enjoyable, well-made blend that should keep for 7-8 years.
