From 65+-year-old vines and aged in a large Stockinger oak vat, the 2020 Ried Rosenberg 1ÖTW Feuersbrunn Grüner Veltliner is pure, refined, saline and beautifully calcareous on the nose. Full-bodied, intense and dense on the palate, this is a rich, tight and powerful Veltliner with a long, refined, saline and stimulating grippy and complex finish. A gorgeous Veltliner from really old vines. 13% stated alcohol. Screw-cap closure. Tasted at the domaine in September 2022.

Juicy and open, with an inviting mix of apple, spices and honeysuckle underscored by lemony acidity, this offers a lot of pleasure. Packs a bitter kick of quinine and chamomile tea, providing a nice counterpoint to the lengthy finish. Though sunny and approachable, this has nice complexity, too. Drink now through 2028.
