The nose of our Pommard Premier Cru "Les Rugiens" is fine yet powerful with predominant scents of red fruit followed by very well integrated notes of smoky oak. This wine boasts lovely length, nice density and classy tannins.
Ideal for accompanying finely prepared tender cuts of red meat, feathered game and dishes served with a wine sauce.

The 2019 Pommard Les Rugiens ler Cru has a lovely bouquet of perfumed dark plum, black currant and iris petal aromas, one of the most open that I have encountered from this vineyard in 2019. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, quite fleshy and Volnay-like for a Pommard, but elegant and displaying admirable persistence on the finish. Probably will drink after 3-4 years.
