The 2018 Champagne Blanc de Blanc Anecdote Extra Brut was aged in stainless steel and spent 36 months on the lees. Delicate aromas of pine and tarragon lift from the glass, followed by lime leaf and pear. It is open and inviting and feels elegant on the palate. There is nothing austere or heavy about this. It feels weightless, and while it may not have great depth and concentration, it has refreshment and a lovely stony texture. Drink over the next 15 or more years.
