This appellation cuvée bottling really comes directly from the estate and makes for a phenomenally priced opportunity to taste one of the more exciting properties in the region. Crushed cherry, cherry pits, wild rose and crushed slate aromas make for a complex nose, and the palate falls in line with dark cherry, pepper, bay leaf and chaparral flavors.

The 2022 Pinot Noir Sta. Rita Hills is scented of cranberry sauce, bitter orange, Angostura bitters and tea leaves with earthy undertones. The medium-bodied palate offers a concentrated core of nuanced fruit and vibrant acidity. It has a firm, somewhat rustic frame of tannins and a long, perfumed finish. It will pair well with heartier dishes.

Just bottled, the 2022 Pinot Noir (Sta. Rita Hills) is a fruity, supple wine to drink now and over the next few years, while the fruit remains juicy and vibrant. A burst of sweet red cherry and plum fruit punctuates the finish.
